Objective
As a startup small business Oaky’s Tavern needed a simple and affordable website that incorporated their new branding and featured their menu online.
Our Solution
We designed a WordPress website based on a template. This is an affordable option which focuses budget on customization, branding and a limited number of pages. We update the menu bi-annually to adjust pricing or add/delete items. We also added a Work at Oakys page to gather information from job applicants.

Our approach to using templates
WordPress templates are a great way to to build affordable websites for small businesses, especially start-ups. We determine the layout and elements that work best for each customer to choose the template. Then everything is customizable to make it unique. Our expertise in in design and operation, not coding. When custom coding is needed for a larger project we have partnered with developers to meet the clients needs.
Must Have: Mobile Friendly Menu
There’s nothing worse than opening a restaurant website and finding a PDF of their in-person menu pasted on a page for you to pinch and zoom to read it.
Our restaurant websites all include editable text menus. They are responsive to tablet and mobile views so it’s easy to read on any device. We also make sure the phone number is an active link that will dial when clicked to order take-out or make reservations.
